"My goal in life is
to be as good a person as Dylan is a dog."
Dylan the dog is our office dog
and we're all the better because of his presence.
He has an uncanny knack of making anyone feel better,
even people who are cat lovers agree that Dylan is
a special dog. He is a friend to all -- humans and
animals alike -- and constantly greets our visitors
with a welcome smile and a wag of his tail.
Dylan was born in Nashville, TN,
but moved to Golden, CO when he was five weeks old.
So essentially, Dylan is a golden from Golden. Ellen
Ozier picked Dylan out of a litter of six when he
was six weeks old and lived with Dylan in Denver and
the mountains of Colorado until he was two. In 1997,
Ellen and Dylan moved to Chapel Hill where they met
Bill Hayes. Now they are a family.
In addition to having an incredible disposition and
sparkling personality, Dylan is quite the athlete.
He retrieves anything, anywhere and runs and swims
whenever anyone will let him.
Dylan has appeared in three of our documentaries.
In Saving
Life and Limb , he appears as the dog who
wakes up John Wayne Thompson in the film reenactment
of John's accident. In Spinal
Impact, Dylan appears as the friend of quadriplegic
Gemma Quinn. In No
Arms Needed: A Hero Among Us , Dylan receives
a nice pet from our armless star, Marty Ravellette.
